Call for: Ambassadors

The organisation:
The European Student Think Tank (EST) is an organisation for and by ambitious students. It aims for narrowing the gap between European politics and its citizens, promoting the discussion about European policy by providing multiple perspectives from EU member states and non-member European countries, and providing opportunities for European students to gain experience in an international organisation.
The position:
As EST Ambassador you are one of the key players in our network. You are the main contact for the Executive Board, a representative of EST in your country and an important part of the growing success of a young organisation. You will be responsible for promoting EST in your country and building a network of student contributors. Basically, you are the face of EST in your own country. Since we are still a very young organisation, there is plenty of room for your own input, ideas and challenges!
We are currently looking for Ambassadors for the European Union member states:
Austria, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Hungary, Ireland, Latvia, Luxembourg, Malta, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Sweden.
As well as the following EU candidate countries:
Iceland, Macedonia, Montenegro.
Candidate profile:
- Higher education student
- Living in the country that you want to be Ambassador for
- Capable of working independently
- Good working knowledge of English
- Demonstrable interest in international affairs
- Social and engaging personality
- Knowledge of social media
- Promotional skills and enthusiastic attitude
- Representative
You will become one of the first generation Ambassadors to EST, so there are no constraints of already existing procedures. We ask for a lot of motivation to help creating a professional en qualitative organisation. Therefore you will probably spend around 5 hours a week on
- Promoting EST and its activities
- Building a national network of enthusiastic students
- Developing a plan for sustainable growth of and commitment to EST
- Reporting progress to the International Officer
As an Ambassador you will benefit from gaining experience in an international organisation, and you will have a chance to contribute to a young and developing organisation. You will have EST membership for the duration of your appointment. The position is for the duration of 12 months, but dates are flexible.
